You've got mail!

Another letter from staffing branch in this evening's mail delivery... This time advising me that in order to proceed to my final medical (Holy crap, I'm now at a phase referred to as "Final") I need to have my eye doctor submit a report stating that all is well post-op from my surgery.

Just in case you are wondering, what they need to know is that I am:
- 20/60 vision in each eye or 20/40 in one eye and 20/100 in the other
- there are no corneal opacities, double vision, halo or glare problems and the ansence of such problems are documented.
- Night vision has been formally tested and found to be normal.

Three months is up in 4 more days and the best way to describe my vision is "perfect" I have recomended several people I know to get the surgery themselves, even. These requirements are a slam dunk. As soon as they get this letter, my file will get sent to the field enquiries for my background check, which is what will take the most time of the remaining steps.

Bottom line: I better kick it into high gear at the gym to make sure I'm ready! Time to start running stairs again!
